Covid 19

Dear Parents / Guardians,

I hope that this letters finds you and your families all fit and healthy amidst the current conditions.

As things begin to develop towards pupils returning to school, I wanted to write to thank you for all of your efforts in supporting each other over the past 8 weeks. We have become used to seeing and hearing the word unprecedented over recent weeks but that is exactly what these times have been for most of us. Our lives and the needs of our pupils changed overnight and the way that everyone has pulled together has shown strength and togetherness across the Trust.

It is togetherness and team spirit that will be required over the coming weeks as the many obstacles of a return to school are addressed. Our senior leaders and staff are working hard to ensure that, should the Government go ahead with their current proposals of a phased return starting 1st June, every effort will have been made to provide the safest environment possible for the children considering the circumstances.

I know that we all share the same concerns around the risks of returning to school and the health of all children and staff will obviously be our utmost priority. Risk assessments have been carried out and arrangements for how the return to school will be implemented will be communicated over the coming days if not already. These arrangements will be continually monitored for their effectiveness and all I can ask for is your patience and understanding if arrangements are changed at short notice – it will be in the very best interest of all concerned.

On behalf of the Governing Body, may I thank you again in anticipation of your continued support and efforts and wish you all the very best of health.
