Lockdown January 2021 Infomation

Dear parent/guardian

Lockdown starting 6th January, 2021

As I am sure you are aware both schools will be going into lockdown from 6th January, 2020. For the vast majority of children, we will be moving onto online ‘remote learning’ which is a mixture of online and home working. Your child will have three ‘lessons’ a day - all placed on seesaw. More details will follow shortly.

The school will not be shut but will be offering teaching to those children whose parents are critical workers or children who are deemed as vulnerable. Miss Doxford or Miss Amiss will be contacting all vulnerable children’s parents today to see if you require a place.

All children with one parent who is a critical worker will be initially offered a place.

If you believe you are a critical worker, please contact the school office. We will need to see ‘simple evidence that the parent in question is a critical worker, such as their work ID badge or pay slip’ by Friday 15th January. A full list of critical worker positions can be viewed under the news section of both schools’ websites.

Please note we will be offering no before or after school provision during these initial stages of lockdown.

We are hoping to be able to reopen for vulnerable children and those whose parents are critical workers from tomorrow 6th January, 2021.

School will start at 8.30 am finishing at 3.15pm for Flax Hill children. School will start at 8.50 am finishing 3.00 pm for Lark Hall children – the dropping off and collection will stay the same as before Christmas initially. It is vital masks are worn on site by parents at all times.

As always thank you for your support it really is appreciated.

Yours sincerely
